A girl can dream, can\'t she?
Today was a peaceful day for me, my son and my heart. It's funny to me how I'm so new to this sight and when my computer went down for a day...I felt lost without my DS family. I've come to find such great comfort in being able to share my heart and thoughts with so many of you. Regarding a little update about my husband...well not too much to say. The only thing for me to report is that there's something different in how we talk. He doesn't seem to be reacting to things the way he usually does. He has been consistant with calling his son and didn't freak out on me when I said "NO" to his latest invite. I heard the hurt in his voice but in the past...this would of turned into just another exuse to blame me for everything in his life and retreat to his normal binge behavior. He did not go out that night and called to say goodnight to his son. There are a million things that concern me, one of them being that he's trying to convince himself that he can drink only socially and control it. I KNOW this is not the case. When does an addict realize they're not like everyone else and they just can't do it? I guess the Lord will reveal the answer to me someday...just not in MY TIME...in His. But I sure wish for a miracle and that this was all just a dream and my husband is completely healed. A girl can dream, can't she? Anyways...as always you are all in my thoughts and I hope you feel my prayers tonight, no matter what you're going through. Stay strong and remember...Let Go and Let God totally and completely. I'm not sure how it all works I just know it does. 'Cause truthfully, by all rights, I should be miserable and locked up in a mental ward with the things I have gone through, yet here I am not that strong, so something BIGGER than myself has brought me here, and has healed my heart of ALL hate. He has replaced it with something amazing...That's how I know it's real!
