A fun day!!
This is a picture of my stairway with it’s hanging branches decoration. I saw it in a country magazine but it was only done at the top, I decided to make it fan all the way down. now, let me tell you how many swear words were involved in getting that thing up but I was determined to have it my way. I’m a tad stubborn for those of you that haven’t noticed. I get something into my head and I’m like a horse with blinders on ! lol !!! it’s really hard to get a good picture of it because it’s in the hall and the area is narrow. I will post a different angle at another time. But I think this gives you the idea. Anyway, in the end I was pleased with the results and got lots of compliments. Something different...like me ha, ha. Had a super day today. I gave my girlfriend, Natalie, a gift certificate for Cora’s and breakfast/brunch place in Moncton ( about 40 minutes away). So today we headed out for Moncton to eat and do some browsing/shopping ( if we found any deals). We went to the Bulk Barn, a place where you can buy a multitude of things in bulk, as much or as little as you want. I always go and get the broken dark chocolate with almonds, yummy. I also get myself the black, gourmet jellybeans. I adore black jellybeans!! Picked hubby up some gummy candies and honey, roasted peanuts he likes. I also found a new tea, English toffee, oh my gawd, is it ever delicious.Then we went to a store called Wheaton’s. they have a huge variety of different things from homemade furniture to candles, xmas decorations, bath items, cards, wall hangings etc. a really nice store. I bought myself some bath bombs, these are like bath salts but it is the size of a baseball and you drop the whole thing in. I got 2 cucumber melon and 1 peach passion.Next stop was Pier 1. I bought a new basket for my hair and face products. It is done in 3 tiers so the larger items can go at the top. Then we went to my favorite store, the Shoe Company. I needed a new pair of high heeled, black dress boots. I wanted a high heel but not spiked. I got a really nice pair and they were made even better because it was 30% off. My lucky day!!!Well, by that time it was 2:00 and both of us were bushed. Um.... there was a time, long, long ago when I could shop for hours. Those days are long gone!!!When I got home our new little addition, Jiji, was having fun hanging off our schnauzers beard and legs but he didn’t mind. Now, Moe, the thiz shu is another story he had his nose royally out of joint. He was actually growling at Michael. So I went to pat him and he tried to bite me. WELL... that did not go over well with me. He got a good smack and a very stern no. We have been doing everything to make sure he does not feel displaced, special treats, extra snuggles etc. he will just have to get use to it. But I think he will give a little more thought before he nips at me again.The little one is a hoot, into everything, everything is an adventure, loves to be held and snuggled. She really likes to be in my lap while I type. This does not make for quick typing and it makes for lots of errors but what the heck. So forgive any spelling errors, it’s Jiji’s fault.
