A form for yourself or a form for others
I looked in the mirror this morning after a shower and saw a bloated old guy whose looks are fading. I can't seem to muster the will for keeping up appearances as I once did. Maybe though that is a good thing. Maybe it's a sign of compassion for 'all of who I am.' I have some strong attributes and some areas I have challenges with. So maybe the whole drive for external standards is now meeting with my mind and spirit. I do need to exercise and so I will. I do need to clean my home and so I will. Sometimes I wonder what more to life and yet I know there is. We're spiritual beings having a human experience:).

It’s interesting how our external appearances are intertwined with our mental well being. I used to be so thin, and due to life and medication, I now hate having any photos of me taken.
And that really debilitates life.
Society makes us that way.
Aging is unavoidable and so I’m trying to own every wrinkle and new thing and strive to not let that destroy confidence.
You are a handsome guy - I’ve seen your photo!
i vote that losing that obsession with external appearances is a good thing. just voting like a beaten crazy bitch wolf. . .
way back when i was cute enough to be sexual predator bait, my shrinks and therapy supporters were fairly unanimous in their opinion that my disdain for external appearances was "protective self-sabotage." at 68, i still get allot unsolicited advice on improving my external appearances. why do i want to look 10 years younger, wise one? i value my experience more than i value fashion masking.
at 2 or 200, naturally beautiful or naturally ugly, the best look you can wear is feeling good on the inside.
assholes are ugly, no matter the skin they are in.
Thanks you guys!!!
