A DO LITTLE DAY!
Sat. night, 8-23-08: I didn't do much today...one load of laundry. I didn't even get it folded. I don't care. I have been reading and floating in the pool. Craig went to a car show today with a couple of his friends. I just floated in the pool. I did swim a little but the water is still pretty cold. My friend did not come today. (I knew she might not) She wants to come over tomorrow but I don't think that will work for me. It sure can be hard to get together with people. While I was in the pool the most amazing cloud was overhead. I decided to get out and get my camera. Of course when I came back outside that cloud was gone. But, I laid there on my raft, camera ready, and caught what I hope to be some awesome shots. One looked like an old woman kissing a baby. I will post them when I get them developed. It is always peaceful to me in the pool. I listen to the bugs, birds, and wind. Sometimes, I cry there. But always it is a place to rest and/or reflect. (And work on my tan...lol) When I went outside this morning there was a truck in my drive. I asked Craig who's it was. He said, "Mine." "Excuse me?" "Mine/ours." I told him he could have at least consulted me. He said he didn't want to argue about it. Actually, I am glad. Now, Adam can have Craig's small Nissan truck and get a job. That has been an issue. I just couldn't seem to get Craig to understand we were going to have to help Adam with a vehicle. He kept complaining about Adam not working and I kept telling him he has to have transportation in order to work. Anyway, it is a very nice Ford truck that a friend of ours had. We know it has been taken care of. Of course, it will be a gas hog but we don't drive too much except for too and from work. Craig and I seem to have real communication problems...... Scotty story: When Scott was 3, I was a stay-at-home Mom. We had a HUGE tree in the back yard with really soft dirt under it from the kids playing. Scott loved to play with his Hot Wheel cars in that dirt. I could watch him from the kitchen window and do the dishes. (No dishwasher, then) He loved being outside! It was early fall and I put his little red windbreaker on and pulled his hood on. I opened the side door for him and he stepped out. I started toward the window when Scott came back in and said, "Somebody frew someping at me!" He was clearly not happy about it. Indignant, even. I looked out the door, also very indignant, and saw no one. I told him I thought it would be fine and I didn't know what happened because no one was there. As he turned around to head back out the door, I saw, on the back of his hood, a VERY large bird dropping! I laughed so hard, cleaned it up, and sent him on his Hot Wheel mission. It was so funny and cute.
