A DECENT DAY!
JULY 9th, Wed.: For a change it was a fairly decent day. A "newer" friend came over and we floated in the pool all afternoon just chatting. That was nice. We are also trying to hook her younger sister up with Chris. She is not a bimbo so that is an awesome start!Seriously, Chris has picked some "interesting" girls. This one is cute, a 3rd grade teacher, never been married, no children, about the same age, and lives on her own. So, my friend & I have, with their permission, exchanged their MySpace #'s. They are on their own from here.I, hopefully, made my last trip to the SS office in regard to Scott. That was Monday. I also took my student for another picnic on Monday. We had a lot of fun and he was able to wade in the water this time...no floods! He was pretending his flip-flop was a boat when the current took it away. Now remember, he is autistic. The look on his face.... So there I am sitting on the rocks as it floats by. I had to scramble down and run, following the shoe while telling him to stay where he was, finally catching it. He was so relieved and the look on his face was priceless. I am sure I looked like a complete idiot but the shoe was saved! The loss of the shoe could have ended in a total meltdown which could've/would've been a really bad thing. By the way, I am really to old to scramble! He also, of his own accord, brought his flashlight this time so we could look for a bear in the cave. We only had my lighter last time. I was very excited by his forethought!Tonight I have just been doing a little bit of laundry and trying to relax. Craig and Adam both went to bed very early. Craig has to get up early and Adam has been having a hard time sleeping so I am glad to see him rest.My plan for the rest of the week is to swim and enjoy my solitude. Craig, after Friday, will be off work for two weeks! I still am not sure if we are going anywhere or not.
