First, I want to thank all of you who commented on my previous journal regarding my son. Things are better now, though I don't think he has changed, he's just doing what he has to do to get what he wants...and he has now where else to go.
I am feeling better. Today is the day we leave for the zoo. This has been one of my goals, to take my grandbabies to the zoo and be able to walk around and enjoy it. I am 100 lbs lighter than my highest weight, but I still have problems walking, so I don't know how it's going to be yet, except that hopefully it won't be miserable like it would have been  9 months or a year ago. The last time we went to a petting zoo and I had to sit down most of the time while my daughter took the girls around. I want to be a part of it this time. I am a little concerned, but hoping I can do it and enjoy the time with the girls.
I am down to 340 now. (started at 440)  Haven't weighed yet today, but the scale hasn't budged in over a week. I know I haven't been eating exactly like I should because I still turn to food when I'm stressed, though I am slowly getting better. I am incorporating a brain health diet into my diet to improve my memory and focus. I have been having a lot of issues in the memory department. I am really trying to eat for health and not for emotional reasons, but sometimes it seems like the food just takes over. I will conquer this though. I am almost 48 years old and I've wasted enough time being a slave to food. Unfortunately, I get in an emotional state and the resolve dissolves. Sometimes just seeing a food or smelling it is enough to make me break, but right now I will do the best I can. I am going to start an intense prayer program to defeat this problem.
Anyway, I will let you know how the zoo turns out.
