OK, I've made a decision. My whole focus is now on reversing my congestive heart failure instead of losing weight. Of course, losing weight is a major component, but my heart health will now be the main focus. I have done research and found some natural supplements to take to improve heart health. I am going to start walking, eating more fish and antioxidant rich foods. I will still work on my eating, of course, but this time the emphasis will not be on losing weight as much but rather on getting healthy. I'm taking a stand and making a choice. My first step is writing this declaration because even though I'm strong right this minute, in ten minutes I may lose all my determination over something stupid. My focusing on weight loss only makes me more hopeless. especially when I think how much weight I need to lose. (211 lbs to my goal - about 40 lbs more than that to be at my optimal weight). I researched reversing congestive heart failure naturally, so I am going to start with supplements, I am going today to walk on the beach. I'm going to eat more natural foods and heart healthy foods and more cold water fish. I am going to start moving around more in my daily life-cleaning house, etc. There are so many things I cannot do, but there are many things I CAN do. Some of them (most actually) are painful or uncomfortable, but I need to keep the goal in mind. I think this will free me from the scale. Of course I will still weigh in and track my weight, but as a part of my healthy heart regime, not the main focus. Those of you who read this journal, please leave a comment, even if it's just "I was here." I need to feel your support. Take care and God bless.
