Well, it's been some time since I've journaled, made it through PJ's angel date, not great but I did it, now his birthday is coming up, I'm sure I'll be ok.  Went ot Ohio beginning of the month to visit my 2 remaining sons and grandkids I hadn't met yet, and my greargrand son!!  Can you believe that one, not quite 60 yet, and I'm a greatgrand mother, but you know, it's really very cool, I get to watch a third generation grow, although I am a very young GGM!!!  So, my visit was going fantastic, until the last nite before we left, and my oldest son, Rich, who we were staying with, planned a big family cookout, including my youngest, Larry, and his family.  Rich and Larry do not get along at all, so they pretty much stay away from each other, doesn't make me happy, and I've tried talking to them, but it does no good, so what works for them, I guess.  Anyway, we got there Sat afternoon, late, 9hr. drive,  Visited with Rich and his family, unloaded everything, and went to bed!!  Sunday we went over to visit Larry and his family, amd Monday we took everyone, 11 of us, out to eat as a family, everyone got along great, Larry and his family came over to Rich's house after, kids played, we talked and had a great time.  Then Thurs. came and Larry and I had made plans for us to have coffee and a long vist at 10:00 a.m., we went over there at 10:00, and guess what, no Larry!  So, went back to Rich's and waited, left him a mess. on his cell phone, he finally got back to me at 11:30, said he had to go get his check and run errands, so asked if I could meet him in Columbiana, which is a good 1/2 or more to get there, now mind you the cookout was starting at noon, and my daughter-in-law had hired a photographer to take photo's, well, I told larry I was sorry but couldn't meet him, he knew about the cookout and what time it started as he was also invited, so I told him to stop over when he was done and he said ok, I told him we were leaving early the next morning. He never showed up, I called him at 9:30pm, he called me back at 10:15, with a bunch of excuses, he accused me of always sticking up for Rich, which I don't, I don't need to, Rich takes good care of himself, and Larry on the other hand, has this thing that the world owes him, and a bad habit of living in the past, I do believe he is jealous of Rich, the things he has, which he's worked his butt off to get, and Larry, who has a very good job, blows his money on stuff, useless stuff.  So, he's yelling, I mean screaming at me to stick Rich "up my ass", and hung up on me!!!!  I later found out he smashed his phone, very mature, did I mention he's 35!!  He's now blocked me on Facebook, as has his wife, did I mention mature.  So, I'm just leaving it alone for awhile, let him calm down and do some thinking, it's hard not talking to him, but he's obviously got some issues he needs to work out for himself.  And that was my vacation!!  Not sure I want to take another one!!

being part of a family that does not talk to each other and my mom in the middle,,,,,,, it is hard to be the child that is not talked too,,,we do have issues,,, we do get upset when it \"looks\" like mom treat us different... I feel like I could be your Larry..... there could be problems that he doesn\'t want to talk about,,,there could be something that happened many years ago....be there for Larry,,, I think he needs you... Love ya!!

To be honest, I really don\'t treat them any different, they\'re each their own person, I understand they have their own personalities, values and such, and if they don\'t get along, I guess I have to respect that, and I have always been there more for Larry than Rich, Larry seemed to need more help than Rich, financially, emotionally, and every other way and I don\'t for a minute regret helping him, and Rich doesn\'t hate me for it. I will continue to be there for Larry whenever he needs me, or wants to talk to me, he\'s my baby and I love him dearly.
