9 year anniversary and travels with Lisa.
On Thursday, Geo and I celebrated our 9 year anniversary. We went to a Vietnamese restaurant.for some pho. We had a good time. He also saw the surgeon for his gastric bypass. We have to come up with some money to get all the stuff done. $180 for the nutritionist, but that's covering 2 years of monthly visits. We also have to spend $300 on shakes so he can lose even more weight prior to surgery. But we have made so much progress already... I'm actually believing that this can be done. He's been trying for over 10 years to get it. He lost 17 pounds this month. We also went to the pool yesterday to get some exercise in. I'm encouraged that he can do this. We have to work together, but I'm willing to stand by his side.
Today was Travels with Lisa. She and her fiance are looking for an apartment because her dad is kicking her out. They have been trying to get an apartment but every time they do they either don't qualify, or they don't call back. So today we went all over the city looking at hotels for her to stay at. It was 93 degrees outside in a car with a broken air conditioner and my window only opened a bit. I was sweating hard. But she finally found a place and she's content for now.

Wowwww WTG Geo he is doing so good trying to get to the wt he has to for the surgery thats not easy at all!!! You are such an amazing wife standing by his side. I think insurance needs to cover those things 100% thats so unfair they expect you to have to pay so much out of pocket on a low income :(
Thats great your friend found an apartment. ICK that sounded horrible to be in the car in that heat. Try to rehydrate yourself as much as possible.
Congratulations on your 9th years anniversary!
I wish you guys the best of luck with your hubby\'s gastric bypass surgery, my oldest brother had it done last year and he said it was the best decision in his life. He is no longer on high blood pressure or diabetes medication.
Being very supportive is a big part of this, so be proud of yourself for standing by his side through thick and thin.
yeah for geo!! it is not easy losing that weight he must be really motivated and want this surgery, it will save his life. you are great on being by his side, we know all to well how much support is needed. I agree all the fees should be paid for, it is after all saving the insurance company money in the long run. I couldn\'t of stood it in that car, I would of melted. happy lisa found a place. hugss
Way to go with the 9 years. That\'s awesome. You and hubby are doing great for him to have lost 17lbs in a month. I think you\'re right about the nutritionist cost being worth it. You could probably learn a lot in two years worth of visits.
