Done something toxic that I knew would probably upset me. On Facebook I looked up a couple people who treated me badly. Of course they have jobs or that's what they said. I believed what they said on there pages and felt really bad about myself. Then I remembered people lie on those things. That made me feel a little better. I know I don't want to see or talk to these people ever again. That would be too much for me.

You Are So Right!
What people write sometimes is from their own perspective and how they think and are feeling at the time. This could very well be an embellishment of the truth! My son's father wrote he went to law school....a beauty, he never finished college.
Everyone has worth. You are here for a reason, and you give each day when your words are posted on DS. Someone might relate and feel less alone. Someone might write, and this gives them a sense of caring and purpose.
I read something that Irish wrote: I don't allow people in my head unless they pay me rent. Good for you to recognize the toxic relationship, acknowledgement is a step to change.
Jennifer, I know this is an old journal entry of yours, but it applies to something I'm going through now. A couple years ago, I looked up my ex-husband, who lives in Calf. (I live in Michigan, now, and have for many years since I lived in Calf.) and has been re-married for years and has 3 kids. He was, and still is, an alcoholic who emotionally abused me and forced sex on me once in our short marriage. I'm regretting becoming FB friends with him. Recently, he's been messaging me and calling me on the phone (leaving msgs) incessantly. So, basically he's Cyberbullying me. He has always been under the assumption (his demented perception) that it was totally my fault we got divorced. He is now unable to walk because he broke one of his legs and since then can't walk on either legs. He told me he had an MRI, and they found major shrinkage of the brain from alcoholism, and that is why he can't walk. He doesn't believe the MRI results. He's very demented and in denial because of his alcoholism. I tried to unfriend him, but it didn't work, I guess. He's still able to send me pvt msgs and try to call me to video chat with him. I've refused to talk to him, and am trying to limit my replies to his demented msgs. I can't help it though. He sends me these msgs that just get me going and sometimes I have to reply out of anger! I know I need to stop all communication with him, and, hopefully he'll just drop out of sight, per say. Just wanted to share that story with you. I may share it in a post sometime soon, too. But, for now, thanks for "listening".

Thank you for the reply. I am sorry he is doing this to you. May he stop soon. Social media has a lot of problems. Hugs
