New job

I feel proud of myself for having had the courage to stick to it even when it was tough.
I just finished the first part of my training at my new job. It was tough as there was a lot to learn in a short amount of time. The trainor also had very little patience in teaching me so it made it even more stressful but I stuck it out.
There is another woman there that seems to have a lot of resentment and anger inside. She is very disrespectful and aggressive. She slammed the phone down a few times after speaking to clients, so hard that I'm surprised that it's still working. She even talks back to the boss. From what I understand, she was a litigation lawyer in her home country. She feels like a nobody because she's now in an entry level job. So she takes out her frustrations on everyone around her. She even  mentioned that her live-in boyfriend recely had to seek therapy because of the way she treats him.  I think she might have some mental issues...
I can't stand being yelled at or being infantilized,  probably because of my childhood issues. I try to keep things inside and not let her get to me, but it's hard. I feel my blood boiling whenever she speaks to me in a disrespectful way. I don't want to go down to her level so I have to work hard at ignoring her. Not always easy.

Congrats on your new job! Sorry you\'re having to deal with that lady at your job. I know from experience how hard it can be to work with rude and difficult people. It seems like ignoring helps, it somewhat helped for me but the more I let it build up in me the more hostility I felt whenever I was around my coworker. I wonder if there\'s anyway you can meet with her afterwork to talk to her about how you feel... Or just continue being nice. It\'s so unfair though how people will take advantage of others and \"walk all over them\" without apologizing. I wonder if this lady knows what she\'s doing and if she cares at all. Hope it gets better. Try not to let this lady put you in a bad mood.
