It's funny that if your not sick... you don't understand.  Called my daughter today to let her know that I would not be able to make it to Thanksgiving dinner. She didn't let me get half through my explaination when she commented, " Well... that's it' Fuck you then." click. I'm OK . Cryed for about 1/2 hour but I kind of understand. She may be distining herself for the inevitable She didn't handle her Grandfathers death well and I think she just in self protection mode. Still.. quite a sting. I've been adjusting to my ills now for over 3 years and this is just going to have to be a n adjustment. Getting tired of all this. Very tired.

Thanks to the 4 step kids I raised, I get tru this adjustment. They ALL rallied around me when they heard of Jessica\'s comment. It has soffened the blow but just a little. Amanda ( my only girl stepchild), came all the way up the hill to TELL me that she is coming up the hill on Thanksgiving morning and that I WILL come to dinner there. She will come or send someone up to get me there safely. I\'m still a little uncmortable... breathing tru a tank in front of anyone but I realize that I can\'t stick my head in the sand any longer. Time to make that adjustment in my life. Losing my blood daughter over being sick is sick in and of itself. That also takes away 3 of my grandkids but I have quite a few more Step (not considered step) grandkids and they are beautifull. Their different personality\'s are fun to share. We have Owen with us over the weekend and although he\'s a handful... he\'s amazingly smart for a 6yr old. You GOT to count your blessings when the chips are down and I consider myself lucky to have Teresa to help care for me and all our kids and Grandkids for all the things they help with. P.S. almost ready to move and couldn\'t have done it without all their help.
