blah... I\'m sorry about the papers! That\'s a dumb thing to not do for you.... but at least he didn\'t put you had anorexia and then you handed in the papers not knowing it... that would have made for a bogus awkward situation! I hope something works out soon. Take care.

I am grateful from the bottom of my soul that you are no longer in the hospital. But I worry that you will soon be back there, with tears and pain in your eyes. I don\'t wish that for anyone- let alone you!

My advice is to seek out your university doc if you can, or another walk-in clinic to get the clearance sheet signed. There is a point your doctor is making- that you are sick, and you do need help. He is doing what he thinks is best, even if that really fucks shit up for you. If this plan doesn\'t work, try talking to someone at the nursery that will understand. I had to tell my boss why I was going on medical leave to the hospital, and it was very embarassing, but it seemed like when I said it, everything fell into place like a puzzle. She was really understanding, and just wished the best for me. Then again, you aren\'t leaving, so I know this is such a tough situation.

I love you, and I hope everything works out!!!

I hate your doctor, too. I mean, really, if he wants to help you, he should be helping you to live a \"normal\" life and be part of society...

Hey, sorry you don\'t even know me but i was drawn to your profile by the cursing!!! I can think of some other words for your doctor, but god what a prick! I was having the same thought about having to tell my work about my ED too as i am also a school teacher, and i was imagining them thinking that i am mental or something - when my ED doesn\'t affect my teaching (unless when i am preparing for stuff and i instead go off on a huge binge or I am tired and grumpy at school - but who isn\'t sometimes - everyone has their vice for stress and ours is just food. It\'s none of your school\'s business. I agree with the others trying to get to you go to another doctor. Good luck!

I am SO sorry that your doc doesn\'t think that you are fit to work with kids! It\'s not your fault you have an ED. You didn\'t choose it. Good luck finding a NEW doc!

I lost a job working with children due to Anorexia a long time ago...I was angry at the time and blamed it on the woman who fired me, but she was legitimately concerned about the safety of the kids. I was supposed to be teaching rock climbing and repelling, and I didn\'t weigh enough to Belay the 11 and 12 year old boys...I\'m not sure what your responsibilities would be with these kids, or why your dr. didn\'t warn you ahead of time about his thoughts on your fittness to work with them (that was a nasty surprise), but take this as a sign that you have to take better care of yourself if you want to live a normal and productive life...please, I know I sound like a broken record, but I am SO worried for you!

I\'m so sorry Missy, I know you must be so frusterated right now. But just think of this as one more reason to kick ED to the curb. I think by working with the kids you can see that there are other things in life that can bring you happiness other than controlling your food/body. And I know it\'s hard when emotions are running high, but take a step back and look at it from the doctor\'s perspective. What if you were holding one of the kids and passed out? I know it\'s kind of worst-case-scenario but just remember that before you can really give your all to someone else, you have to give your all to yourself! I\'ll get off my high horse now, but I just know you\'re such a great person and I want to see you be able to accomplish your awesome goals.
