well i have never thought of myself as a control freak...but EDs are thought to be a control issue...but i didnt think that this applied to me....but last night i did something that made me rethink this.....see normally i call my bf james every night at around the same time...but i didnt like the feeling of being expected to do something....i felt trapped...so i just didnt call him last night.....is this me being controlling?might be goin on a road trip oct 5,6,and 7 to maryland....tracy wants to go visit this guy friend of hers whos in the army....and she wants james and i to go with her....sounds like fun...just gotta take Ed into account i guess....does one have to pay extra at the hotel for this uninvited guest? haha.....im just worried about the possible food encounters this trip will entail...and about james figuring it all out.....i was a little hurt yesterday while i was talking to my sister....she told me that mom and dad called her to meet them at dennys and she asked them to bring her her contacts since she was going to school right afterwards...so my mom brought her my contact solution thinking that it was my sisters....so i naturally asked what happened to it....and then my sister told me the above info....i was a little stung by the fact taht my father went out of his way to invite my sister to eat out with him and my mother....granted, i wouldnt have wanted to eat out....but it's just the whole premises of it all....he wanted to see my sister, and eat with her....he goes out of his way for contact with her...while it seems like he goes out of his way to avoid contact/conversing with me...guess when ED pulled me down the parental love ladder, he let my sister pass by all the way to the top

Oh man I\'m sorry..feelings like that definately suck..and it hurts...I kinda felt like you about 2 weeks ago when my parents brought my brother home vanilla milkshake(my fave!) and din\'t bring me one cause they thought I wouldn\'t drink it anyway...I was knida hurt cause I felt left out..and the thing is..even though I\'m better now...it seems like ED still affects the way my parents act towards me or how they see me...I don\'t know...maybe is just me...well I hope you cheer up some....I would invite you to eat out at Dennys if I could....here I\'ll just ask you anyway..\"hey Missy, do you want to go eat at Dennys tomorrow?\" Have A good day!! I always tell people to treat me the same. You are not your Eating Disorder! Family can be very frustrating ;o) I know. But they love ya.

I\'m gonna be going on vacation during the same time as your road trip. I plan on leaving my Ed behind. Maybe my Ed and your Ed can hang out together while we\'re gone? lol.

I\'ll babysit the Ed twins for you guys. I\'d love to drown them in the bathtub and make it look like an accident. XO

I wish he could read that. I wish he would step up and be a father to you. My heart is always with you!

The trip should be fun. Try and just go into it with a positive attitude instead of pointing the probably obvious obstacles. Let yourself have some fun!

I know you can go on the trip and leave ED at home. He can hang out here in apartment hell.

oh im sorry thats a tough one with your family and your dad. i dont really know what to say about that one becuase i just can\'t explain it away into nothing for you like i know you probably want to hear. thing is though, from an outsiders perspective i can certainly see both sides. you and i can both see that your dad is v. frustrated with e.d and as mentioned previously - he cant seem to seperate the e.d from you - his daughter. so he thinks that its just YOU thats just being difficult and he obviously doesnt want to take the \"difficult\" one to dinner. im so sorry, it makes it so tough when people dont understand. maybe you could talk to your mum about how you feel (dont know how good of a relationship you have with her) or even write it in a letter to your mum asking her to explain to your dad how you feel etc. i know thats sort of putting your arse on the line a bit there, but im just trying to think of anything that could help the situation.
you should def. go on the trip though. e.d controlled life = bad ....social /fun life= good. i know once you get on there it\'ll cause a bit of stress but how would you feel if you had to miss out on all the quality time with bf and buddies cus of your fear of eating. that would be just one more thing on the platter you would be handing over to e.d along with the relationship with your dad (which may i say, im sure you will revive one day). e.d =2, missy =1 (i know you dont want that to be the score)
so go - your only young once and you;ll have a ball. lots of love and hugs and smilies.and tell the big pink elephant i said his days are numbered and he\'s being a showoff with thoose piroutes etc.
lots of love (again)
