i love my sister to pieces and i feel that i am blessed to have her......and im stoked that she moved home...except for one thing...i feel as though my dad has put her on a pedastal because she is the eating child......he is making it so obvious that he is the apple of her eye and that i am failing him.....and i know that this is supposed to make me wanna stop my ED but it makes me cling even more just to spite him and to say...u dont love me? well fuck u!.....ok ok...i know he does love me....but he is just pissed off about the disorder and not being able to change it...i know this...but the way he shows his anger...it seems like hes angry at me rather than the disorder....i just keep telling myself that it will get better when i move out....so hopefully when i graduate college and get my own place, the tensions will ease......GOD WILLING!!!had an ice cream fight tonight...there was mint choc chip in the freezer...and my sister was like ew y is that in there? and i said yea thats gross....and my mom was like "missy u used to love mint ting a ling"....and i said well mint ting a ling and mint choc chip are 2 very diff ice creams...mint ting a ling has swiss almond chips while mint choc chip has choc chips....my dad got pissed off and was like NOT LIKE IT MAKES A DIFF, U WOULDNT EAT IT IF IT WERE MINT TING A LING........grrr...y does he have to be so nasty and rude?well on a happy note..im goin to the niagara county fair tomorrow! i have gone there every yr ever since i can remember...its not huge or amazingly exciting or ne thing....but its tradition...and i love it! hopefully it will get my mind off of the tension between my father and i....even if just for a little while

I\'m sorry if this hurts your feelings, but I am enraged. What an asshole... ARG. Your Dad is a selfish prick. I say fuck him too, until he learns to grow up. I want to go over to your house and ask your dad, so how does it feel to slowly kill your child? How does it feel to push her away? How does it feel to selfish?
I\'m sorry, but your Dad has issues.
Why do you want his acceptance anyways? My dad is the same with me, and I accept that i\'m better than my own Father. I accept that he\'s just going to be like that, and I can try to help him as much as I can to understand, but if he doesn\'t want to then why should it hurt my feelings.
Don\'t let that prick make you feel like shit because you have come a far way. You are 20 years old... I am 22 years old, yet we sound way more aged than we should. We will never live a normal life which I don\'t care because I would rather be different than be like everyone else.
Sometimes moving away from a parent is the best thing. It was great for Neil... His mother sounds like your father.... Moving away doesn\'t solve the problem, but it prevents those lingering negative thoughts you have to endure day in and day out.
Love ya!
Our parents just want to help but they seem to use our eds as something to use against us (or thats the way it seems anyway) we seem to let them get away with it because its our mum or dad and we love them but they shouldnt use it against us, your dad needs to stop pushing you away
Sorry your dad is making you feel bad....I think men in general don\'t know how to deal with issues like eating disorders or depression. I know it\'s hard on you though. I wish he could see what it does to you. Anyway...hope you have a great time today. I\'ll be spending my last day in prison...haha!
I kinda know how youn feel with your day- I graduated near the top of my class at Vet school and all I got was- \'why don\'t you do Human medicine?\' Grrrr. Believe me you just have to smile and accept them how they are- they never change! On the plus side its most likely cos he loves you and wants you to be healthy and succeed. Sometimes tho we just have to stand back and pretend to be a third person and evaluate the situation from everyones point of view. We can get so caught up in the emotions that we miss out on our overall goals and where we want to be. From experience- thinking things will get better if only.... happens- it doesn\'t work. I always think people should get off my case as Im working on it and Ill be fine. But when I stand back I cansee that its not working. I really have to seperate time passing and this instant moment- as in the end time has slipped by so many years with me thinking that- in this moment- im dealing with things just fine. Im not coming down on your case or anything- just trying to be supportive. Should take my own advice I guess...
Sorry about your Dad. Pray for him. Pray for him as you would a sick friend in the hospital, as he is suffering from \"second-hand ED\"
This may not be a popular response, but it truly works to free yourself from your own anger and rejection. When I tried this at first I prayed and then I ended up saying \"God I pray...that they hurt as much as I do\" It\'s hard to focus on praying for someone else to find relief, but it get\'s easier with practice. You might be amazed at the results.
I\'m so glad you aren\'t displacing this on your sister, and that you feel full of love for her. Sisters are critical, and my sisters hurt me all of the time (I have four) I think you\'re doing a great job in getting this all out. And the wise advice you\'re getting from the above people, amazing!! XOXOXOXO
omg.the fair is great.i just went like two days ago.
yu cling to yuur ed moree everytime yuur dad makes it clear that he hates that yuu have one to sy fuck yuu to him,its sumthing i would do.but maybee yuu should tell him that this is what happnens.tell that everytime that he say those kinda things that yuu need to prove that yuu are how yuu are.and that if he cant accpted yuu or help yuu recover that he is just gunna hurt yuu more...it maybee really scary but this may[[hopefully]] make him cee alittle bit of what he really has been doing.
at least you recognize that his anger should be directed at your disorder, and you know that it\'s not intended for you. that said, i\'m sorry he\'s not dealing with this better. it hurts even if we know logically that the anger is misdirected. ((HUGS))
