everytime i come on here, i always check to see all of the new members who have joined this community.....and i find myself torn....i am happy because they have discovered this wonderful site...but at the same time i am saddened because there are new people EVERYDAY....and this means that there are a SHITLOAD of people out there who are suffering wiht EDs...and we are only seeing the ones who have found this site...imagine how many others there are out there! all of that aside, i shall share some good news.......the kitty can stay! my dad finally agreed taht it she gets declawed then she can stay!hooray for furry friends who dont judge!

It is very sad. I\'m glad you can keep the kitty. Critters are good therapy. I might be a dork, but my bunny is my best friend. ;)

The good thing about this site is that people are joining. More and more people are attempting to get help. We all just need to band together and help each other out.

does your dad know how declawing is done. It is the most painfull surgury a cat can go through. They litteraly cut off their toes and the cat is in extream pain for at least a week....to the point most of them won\'t hardly walk. There are other options in that. There is a product called soft claws which is this little rubber peice that gets glued onto the claws. They have to be replaced when they fall off which is normaly about a month. But it\'s so much less painfull for the kitty. Just an option I wanted to throw out there. I\'m sorry but I get to see these surguries and I know the risks of surgry and if it can be avoided I would do it. I\'m in an anesthesia class right now..........just if you can avoid it it\'s just better.
