8 years

It is nearing midnight.  Actually in Ottawa it is after midnight.  December 1, eight years ago, Lisa was taken off life support and pronounced dead.  I relive it a lot.  After 8 years, I still can't believe it. Imiss her as much, if not more,   I so wish that her grand babies had a chance to know their cooky loving grandma.  They have a huge extended family who dote on them, but they are not Lisa.

I know I will get through this - as I have for the last 8 years but it sure hurts.

Lisa:  I miss you always and love you forever, Mummy

Dearest Marlene, I know how much it hurts. This time 7 years ago we were on automatic pilot, in intense shock, planning Catherine's funeral, we buried her on the 10th. We keep saying we can't believe it too. Don't think it becomes any easier, I think it becomes harder as each year passes. So heart rending that Lisa isn't physically here to cuddle the babies but you will be able to tell them all about her. I wish that Catherine was here to play with her little nephews, she would be such a loving Auntie but I know she watches over them.

You will get through it Marlene as you said but so painful to bear. Sending love to you and Lisa from Catherine's mum xxx

Oh Marlene, my heart just breaks for you...how cruel life can be. Lisa was trying to take care of herself and the worst happened! It is so unfair!

Ceyvn and her children should have their mum and Grandmum there. That is how your life should be.. How I wish it was.

There are no words. It was 8 years in September since Ed left. I hate the year 2oo9. I walk with you.

Tonight I will light a candle in dearest Lisa 's honor. You raised a wonderful woman who left such an amazing legacy of love.

May your memories comfort you. I know you are heartbroken. Sending you gentle hugs and love one mum to another, Linda ♡

My heart and hand are in yours and I know that Lisa is so deeply LOVED and sorely MISSED each and every moment. How can it be eight years... Deepest of sighs.

Loving care on this most heartbreaking of days that NO parent should ever have to endure.

With you, Marlene, and caring so very much.

Marlene, my heart also breaks for you. When we say the number of years since our child left this earth it doesn't seem possible. I know what you mean about Lisa's grandbabies. My Jeff's children, now 19 and 17, have so many people that love them but it is not Jeff here with them.
Like Joanie said no parent should have to endure what we all have had to endure. Tight hugs to you and I know how much you miss and love your Lisa...Nell

I miss you, Marlene. It is so hard with each passing year to comprehend how it can be. It was nine years for Michael on 11-22 and my mind goes over and over, how can it be 9 years? I often think of how my 2 year old granddaughter will never know her Uncle Michael. It must be so much harder to think that your precious littles will never know their Grandma. I love you and am hoping to be at retreat this year.

Thinking of you as you navigate this time of year so filled with sad memories. I'm sure you can see her in the eyes of her daughter and the little grand babies. Missing our children is the hardest part isn't it? Our love continues on forever and ever. Sending the tightest of hugs Marlene,
Debbie
