8 weeks today
It's was 8 weeks ago today at 2:00pm that Donna passed away from this earth and was called home. I wish it never had to happen but I know there is a bigger plan. I wish I didn't have to continue my journey alone but I know there is a bigger plan. I wish her grand kids could get to know and experience her love but I know there is a bigger plan. I wish we could grow old together but I know there is a bigger plan. I wish I knew the details of that plan, but I know I'm not meant to know. I have to plug on. I have to live for both of us. I have to take care of her kids and grand kids. She would want that. They are our future. its my job to make sure they know her and I gladly take on that job. She would do the same if I had gone home before her. My soulmate in life is gone but not forgotten. I will never forget and await the time I can hold her and hug her and kiss her once more. Life seems so empty now but I know I will be here as long as God has something for me to do. Once that job is complete he will call me too and I will gladly go knowing she is there waiting for me. Until then my love.

I like the repetition of \'I know there is a bigger plan\'. We do need to keep reminding ourselves of that, don\'t we? I\'m so sorry for your recent loss. You have the same attitude I do, that your dear wife has been \'called home\' and one day you will be too. I agree that it\'s something to look forward to. My husband died nine months ago and I mostly do pretty well these days. And yet, just over the past week, I\'ve suddenly been missing him as if it just happened. They tell me this normal, because in grief there is no neat pattern of \'progress\'. It skips around. But already I am getting back on track and thanking God every day for my many blessings. I pray for peace and blessings to you too.
