8 months gamble free
Today marks my 8 month mark of deciding to be gamble free each day and succeeding at that goal. It is a nice feeling and i have been busy enough that I hadn't had many urges to say "i can just go for a while" etc.... Also I had done a lot of things that i enjoy that in the past I would have cut short to race over to a casino and loose myself. You realize how much joy in life you lost chasing an addiction instead of taking in a hobby, activity or something that means something to you. Pretty nice feeling, and that is a good thing!

Wow, I\'m impressed. Congrats! I have 3 weeks and I\'m dreading payday. That\'s when the urge to gamble is strongest. But I have 2 friends who are going to help me hang on to money so wish me luck (lol). It\'s not luck. What am I saying? Pray for me. I\'ve only done it with God\'s help.
Will take your advice and try to think of something else to do in place of gambling. I like that idea.
