Been reading a number of other peoples journals tonight .. decided to add my  two cents into my own journal,,,, hmm!!  anyway,,,

Can't help thinking that reading submissions and writings of others and making some comment in some manner positive or critical should yield something of a response ,,if only for someone to tell me to go " fuck myself"..  or maybe something less caustic...anyway.. it annoys the shit out of me when I am met with absolute SILENCE.. especially on a site that extend itself to support ,,, it blows my mind,,, ok,, I am not perfect and I have been known to ignore some directed responses,,, but these are rare ... at least I think so,,,

I am fully aware of the nature of social media ,,, and am not fixated on its downside,, or maybe I do not resonate in this world... it is a real shame though..
Of course I realize that some people are just plain STUPID.. and this type of media only encourages these types  to ply there trade without mercy...
In other news.... sent a letter to the NYT editorial page... not that I expect it to be published ,,, but it was a form of visceral and verbal vomit I had to get out ,,,like eating a bad hot dog. This was based on something I read that day regarding Snowden and expressed attitudes of some Senators and other government officials.

I have been waiting to here about a part time position that I put in for several weeks back,,, it was at a familiar agency that goes through people like dishwashing liquid.. so far ,,, not a word ..  I have spoken to a few persons with regard to the realistic shot for me to handle a f/t position which I really do not want.. Not sure if this limitation makes it more difficult I suspect that it should have the opposite affect..

I continue to find that I isolate much more than I am willing to put up with, and then there are those obstacles that continue to foster this behavior,,, There are certain realities that have been brought to my attention,, and they are true enough... I have a real problem handling rejection and disappointment,, it is something that has embedded itself into my character and I have never really addressed it ,, or have acknowledged it to the degree that it warrants.

Sometimes it\'s hard to know what to say to someone who is struggling, especially when we\'re struggling, too. As for social media, I will NEVER have a Facebook account. As far as I am concerned there is no privacy and no security and why would I want someone to know everything in my life? \"Getting a cup of coffee\" \"Took out the garbage\" - c\'mon. So I agree with you that social media is not the way of life for me. Yes, I have a twitter account, but ask me how often I post? During basketball season. I\'m a real NBA junkie.

I\'m not sure I\'d want to work full time again either. I barely make it financially on 20 hours a week but I work from home. (This week, though, I really worry about getting enough time.) But I wish you luck finding a job! It\'s terribly hard these days, even part time!

You are not the only person who has trouble handling rejection and disappointment. Some of us take it harder than others and I suspect both you and I are this way. So we isolate ourselves but it makes the problem worse. I find that when I don\'t see others for 4 or 5 days it\'s like I\'m setting myself up for rejection or that, possibly, I\'m rejecting myself on their behalf. Yikes! Working at home is isolating but I love my home. I don\'t think I could work in an office with other people any longer. But I notice that the isolation gets worse over time.

Just know you can vent here (like I do) and others are paying attention. I may not always comments but you are always in my thoughts and prayers.
