Day 4
Day 4 of the antidepressant increase. I decided to reach out to a church, and to my surprise, when I got there I was very emotional. I have a tough time crying but maybe the increase in meds is starting to kick in? Anyhow, a very nice lady at the church took about 45 minutes of her time just to hear my cry and talk about life. I felt very blessed and am extremely thankful. I need to go give her some chocolates and a thank you card. Better than a therapy session. She even gave me a hug lol. After that I went to the park and took a long walk. It was a beautiful day. I felt this urge to be away from concrete and man-made things. I wanted to be as close to nature as possible. Does anyone else ever feel like that? After my walk I got a massage, which hurts the wallet but I felt like I needed it. My neck and shoulders are always tense. It was great. I dont get to do it often. Now at night I went to spend time with my boyfriend who is a great man and listens and comforts me. I am feeling good tonight. No heavy head, no feeling of being in a fog, and no feeling of being exhausted. To myself when I have a rough time- remember this. Remember that you had a good night. Remember that there is hope.

It may take some time to adjust to the new dosage. I have been on a new antidepressant for 2 weeks now, and the first few days I felt very lethargic. Still waiting for some improvement in my anxiety. I read it could take 4-6 weeks to feel the full effect. This is the hard part, the waiting. Do you remember how long it took for your med to kick in when you first went on it? Anyway, I hope it starts working for you soon.
What antidepressant are you on??
I am on prozac. When I first started it I believed my psych had it paired up with another med, which was over the top, and I was shaking like crazy. She eventually stopped the other meds (I think it was wellbutrin), and eventually the side effects of just prozac went way. I want to guess it took 2 weeks? Or at least that is what I have been telling myself.
Is the Prozac working??
