so, I have exciting news! Dad met someone at a dinner the other day who he knows quite well (she's the directing manager of a music company in Hong Kong). He'd mentioned me about six months ago, and I'd emailed her because she was interested, but we both thought she'd forgotten about me. However, when they met at a dinner the other day, she brought me up in conversation, and - best bit - I might end up working for her next year! She does a lot of dealing with Japan and Germany, so she needs my languages - and I'd be living in Hong Kong!
Of course, I had to talk to Dan about it, and I asked if he wanted to come too. He said he'd need some time to get used to the idea, but yesterday he told me he definitely does want to come too! So we may well end up living in Hong Kong together next year. I am incredibly excited - you have no idea.
