Dear Kitty,
another year, another Christmas Eve, making this my - what, sixth Christmas with you? Goodness. That really is a long time.
I haven't written in an age. Dan and I had our very own Christmas yesterday, when we woke up at ten and I pushed him out of bed so I could go downstairs to see my stocking. I got some batteries (a clue for my present), some liquorice, a tiny box of Quality Street and a set of little tart tins with removable bottoms. After breakfast (pannettone and apple Buck's Fizz), we cuddled and watched some TV. Lunch was vegetarian - Lincolnshire sausage mix with lots of vegetables and mini soy Yorkshire puddings (which I made), and we FINALLY got to open our presents before pudding. Dan loved his SP, and he bought me a tape player! I've got two tapes - The Smiths, and The Divine Comedy. Alice came over that evening, and then Dan and I went to bed at about ten, where we played with my new toy (a mini wand from Ann Summers). We left Manchester this morning and got the train to London together, and he left me at the King's Cross tube station. I got back at twenty to six, and tea was at seven. Cecily's not here, which is awful. Fenny and Pop and Mum and Dad won't leave me alone and somehow think it's my fault that I'm lactose intolerant. I've locked myself in my room and am listening to The Divine Comedy while cuddling Dan's scarf. I don't feel festive. I don't want to be around anyone.
That's a lie. I want Dan. I want to be back in Manchester with him. That's all I want.
Yours,
Chessie
