Dear Kitty,
Dan got very drunk yesterday and rang me on the way home. It all started off silly and giggly, the way we usually are when he's like that, but it got more serious as we carried on. Eventually we talked about Wednesday and suicide and he asked me all these questions that I couldn't or wouldn't answer and then he ended up crying. I felt awful, really I did. I don't want him to be sad or upset or worried about me, but he is. We've hardly spoken today, and he isn't answering his phone - I don't think he's angry, though. Well, not at me. He seems pretty annoyed with himself.
But I've done something to take a step forwards so that he won't be upset any more. I talked to someone and, tomorrow, I'm going to ring my GP about getting some help. I don't know what'll happen, but it's the least I can do to make Dan feel better.
Yours,
Chessie
