Dear Kitty,
Satnav's been discharged from hosptal. I went to the walk-in clinic on Monday but, after waiting for two hours, gave up and limped home again. I slept through class on Tuesday morning, though I did make it to my lecture that afternoon - which was really boring, the highlight being a four-minute video of a Japanese transvestite. Sunny and I only went to half of Chinese on Wednesday.
BUT
Wednesday was awesome! Dan had his audition for Trinity Laban for most of the day. I got an email at around twelve from the job I applied for (teaching English in Italy over the summer) - and I've got it! So I'll be off to Italy for a few weeks in June. I was doing my homework that evening when Dan rang after his audition, and they've offered him a place! He's also got an offer from Birmingham, and he's not sure which he'd rather go to, but he's leaning towards Trinity. It's fantastic news, though, because he'll be doing what he loves wherever he goes. If he goes to Trinity, I'll have to get more used to his parents, because he'll be moving back home. I don't mind that, though, because his mum's lovely to me. I went ice skating with Stef, Peter and Janie that night (and was told I needed to start having lessons again!), which was great. On Thursday, I had two hours of class and spent the rest of the day knitting a cataray and watching crap films. Friday was spent in the same way, except I was fitting a dress instead (almost finished now). Today, I've been dozing and reading, with the odd computer game thrown in.
I've water-fasted two days this week, making it about 78 hours in all. The one I started yesterday I'd been planning to go on with until tomorrow, but I had no energy at all when I woke up and felt so awful and shaky that I had to eat some porridge. I think I'll fast for tomorrow, Tuesday and Thursday. It's really quite nice after a while, and I don't really seem to get hungry for the first 24 hours at all.
Yours,
Chessie
