Dear Kitty,
goodness - so much news! I'll begin where I left off, with the audition. I didn't get in, but I don't mind - I've far too much else to be getting along with, although it would have been fun. Nothing else particulr happened last week, until Dan arrived on Saturday! I collected him at the station, and we had tea at mine before heading to the Odeon to meet with Stef, Michael and Adam. The film (Wreck-It Ralph) was alright - certainly not the best Disney film, but it got better towards the end. We all went to Nando's afterwards, and then Dan and I spent Sunday relaxing in my room; he was exhausted because of so many early mornings, and I was just plain tired! We went to church that evening, and watched Mulan when we got back. I had class on Monday, and then we went into town in the evening, to meet up with Janie, Michael, Stef and Adam for dinner at Wasabi. We all ended up at Odder afterwards, giggling and just generally having a whale of a time! On Tuesday, Dan and I made pancakes, and then he got the train back to Norwich.
I didn't go to Chinese on Wednesday, in the hope of getting some sleep before the service. I didn't manage to, but I hit every note all the same! Janie and Stef were very impressed, as were Lucy and Auntie Blou. I had to show Lucy and Blou my flat afterwards, and I was worried about it being really awkward. Before the service, however, I lost my purity ring, and that took my mind off how skinny Lucy was for the eveing. On Thursday, Michael and I went into town together, to do some Valentine's shopping, and I ended up going for lunch with him - and I ate! I'm surprisingly comfortable around Michael - a good thing, I suppose. I picked up some handkerchiefs for Dan, and a jumper and some gloves for me, and then spent Thursday night tailoring the jumper to fit. On Friday, I bought an embroidery hoop, and I've been embroidering Dan's initials onto the handkerchiefs. I hope he likes them when I give them to him next weekend - I've done three already!
As for today? Well, goodness, it's been peculiar. Dan's been vaguely irritable (because he hasn't slept in around two days) - and, tonight, Alex (!!!) texted me, asking if I wanted to go for a drink! It was one of the most surreal experiences of my life - but also marvellous. He's almost the same as he was - he looks no different at all, but seems to have become even taller. But, as for his personality - he's so much less reserved, and more confident within himself. I realised how different I was when we were talking too, and it was just nice to be able to enjoy each other's company again. He came back to mine for a cup of tea afterwards, and we ended up talking about how our relationship ended etc. He seemed sorry, but I don't see why he should have done. I've spent the last half an hour just walking around my room, saying 'that was so WEIRD'.
Next Tuesday, I'm off to Chester to see Will for the night, and then Dan's back on Saturday. But, goodness - wasn't that odd?!
Yours,
Chessie
