Dear Kitty,
Katie arrived on Wednesday. I collected her from the BBC Centre and we wandered around town for a while, before going to Frank's to meet up with Dan - and what an afternoon that was! We all ended up drinking quite a bit - something that finished in Tequila Slammers and slightly-pissed Scrabble - but I think we all had a great time. On Wednesday evening, Katie and I watched part of a film and then giggled for ages. We spent most of Thursday lying on her bed in big jumpers and talking about sex (with the occasional bit on 80s music mixed in). Dad took us to Tesco's before tea, and then I had an argument with my parents when we got back. They've been driving me mad for a while, and I'm glad to be back at uni (in some ways). Thursday evening was spent smoking out of my window and getting drunk on my bedroom floor - and dancing to Gangnam Style and dribbling over various Korean guys and girls.
We went to the station on Friday morning, and she got the 11:30 train. I walked back into town and met Dan on the Morton bench. We didn't have a plan for the afternoon, so we ended up looking round the Cathedral, browsing the Tombland bookshop, playing Scrabble (we do this a lot) and planning our camping trip in the library - we're looking at either Edale or the New Forest. We went for a drink before going for dinner - he took me to a Japanese restaurant near the Cathedral that I'd never been to before, and it was really nice. We went back to Frank's afterwards, and then said goodbye at the bus stop. Today I got up at half four and then slept most of the way here - and here I am, back in my room in Manchester.
Tom got back in contact with me last night.
Yours,
Chessie
