Dear Kitty,
well, here I am at home again. I got the train home on Saturday - first class, no less! Mum said I could because it was only four pounds more, and I'm glad of it. The Virgin first class is really nice, and I spent that part of the journey writing the back story to a fantasy world (it's called the Sphere). My laptop didn't have enough battery to carry on writing on the train from London, so I learned forty new Japanese words instead, and that was quite fun. Dan met me at the station, and then we went to a pub before going back to his. Craig, Will, Dan and I all played lots of drinking games that night - we were going to go out, but my alcohol tolerance really isn't up to much, and I felt too ill to go anywhere by twelve. Dan and I sat in the bathroom instead, and we had a proper DMC for three hours. We came back to mine the next day, and I spent the afternoon making bread. We watched 'Love Actually' that evening, and made heaps of paper chains. We also watched half of 'Scott Pilgrim', but went to bed at twelve because I had to wake up early on Monday for William's birthday - he leaves for college at half six, so I got up at quarter to so that I could make him breakfast and put his presents on the table. Mum and Dad got him a new iPod Nano (which I didn't guess - I thought it looked like they'd wrapped a box of cufflinks). Then I went back to bed, and Dan and I slept until about ten. We didn't get up until quite late because we were just talking and cuddling etc. as we always do, and we went to the supermarket after breakfast to get stuff to make William's birthday cake. William got back at around six, and we had homemade pizza for tea (I'm getting quite good at cooking now). We all ended up playing 'Get Out Of The Room Before I Count To Thirty' after that, and then Dan and I sat in my room and played Phase 10 before we went to bed.
We woke up to William banging on the door at ten this morning, shouting 'why have I just woken up?'. He'd slept through his alarm, and decided that I was supposed to take full responsibility for him waking up in the morning - because I am totally going to get up at six every morning for the next week (what an idiot). Dan and I didn't get up until twelve, and then we've spent today listening to the radio, watching TV, playing Phase 10, and just generally being us. He left at ten to seven this evening, and, five minutes after he left, I realised how empty I felt without him. William's been a nightmare all evening, and I cannot stand him at the moment. He's been terrible all weekend, actually - showing off because Dan was here, making horrible jokes, being really really disgusting and childish. I'm surprised Dan put up with it, actually. I almost couldn't. As for tonight? Well, he's become moody and uncooperative again, and I am not going to do anything for him for the rest of the week, because I'm tired of him treating me like I'm nothing.
It's my birthday on Thursday, and I'm staying at Dan's on Thursday night. On Friday, we're going to a Mexican Christmas party at Josh's. and Saturday? Who knows! We'll have been going out for four months next Monday, and we're thinking of going to Cambridge together because of that.
Yours,
      Chessie
P.S We were sitting at the kitchen table today, drinking tea and talking, when he suddenly leaned forwards, cupped my face in his hands, kissed me and smiled. He stared at me for a moment, and then just said 'I love you'. I said 'I love you too', and he kissed me again and said 'I'm so lucky'. I think I'm the lucky one.
