Dear Kitty,
I figured out why I haven't been losing any weight:
My scales are running out of battery.
It's been bothering me for a while, because I know I haven't been eating enough to maintain my weight, and yet it hasn't changed at all in the last ten days. But I stood on my scales this morning, and they flashed 'LO' at me, which I have taken to mean 'low battery' and not 'hi'. Now they can't give me a consistent reading at all. This is amazing, and also really really scary. I'm terrified that I'll get home and I'll be at 55kg or something. I know it's almost my period, so water retention is really bad at the moment, but I'm so scared of stepping on the scales when I get back. I don't know if I'll be able to do it - especially because I know that Dan will make me eat on Saturday night because I'm staying at his. I just don't want to get back to Norwich and for him to suddenly realise how enormous I am.
