Dear Kitty,
am I happy? I'm not sure. I ought to be; I'm studying my favourite subject, I've got fantastic friends, and my boyfriend is wonderful.
And yet I've got that horrible empty feeling again, and I can't get myself to do anything. I just want to stay in bed and not talk to anyone for a week or so. I'm worried about Dan; I want to be the right person for him, I really do, but I feel like he deserves someone so much more than me - someone pretty and funny and clever, who socialises a lot, who doesn't have problems and who is extraordinary. And instead, he's got short, fat, plain, ordinary me. I love him, but I don't want him to feel like he's just sticking with me because he feels he should. I just want him to be happy, and I'm worried that I won't make him happy.
I think I'm tired, Kitty.
Yours,
Chessie
