Dear Kitty,
here I am! I'm sitting on the floor of my room, surrounded by bits of wrapping paper and clothes, and I am very, very happy. I had my laptop out on the train yesterday, and I wrote for about three hours - and it was mostly decent stuff, too. My train got in a little early, and I couldn't see Dan when I got in, so I put my stuff down and texted him. And he suddenly appeared from around the corner, practically shouted my name and pulled me into the most enormous hug (he'd been at the cashpoint). He didn't even say hello before he kissed me, and then took one look at my hair and said 'you really have been dressing like Jane!'. I was quite pleased he'd noticed (and that my hair is finally long enough to tie up!). We went to Frank's after that, to talk and to play Scrabble, as we always do. He kissed me in front of everyone when we got up to leave, and then walked me to the cathedral where Mum was picking me up. We fought over carrying my suitcase and who was going to pay (he won both times), and then we almost kissed goodbye when we got to the cathedral, but William wouldn't go away.
I've spent all day making bits of Dan's birthday present. I finished his handwarmers - they're black and yellow, and look really professional until you look at the palm of the left one, and then there's a little yellow car sewn onto it (we get very violent in the yellow car game). He's also got socks with music printed on them, a book about inventions, homemade vegan muffins (so Craig can eat them too) and a drawing. The drawing took me hours - his hair is impossible, and I just couldn't get it to look like him. It's not the best drawing I've ever done, but it's alright, and I really hope he likes it.
Mum decided I was too thin yesterday and won't leave me alone about it. Admittedly, I was having a thin day, but she's really starting to bother me.  Still, it's good to be home and to see her again.
Oh, and I sliced my thumb open while making muffins today (they're apple, cinnamon and vegan white chocolate or lemon and nut) and almost fainted. It reminded me of 2009 - and also that I really should avoid knives.
Yours,
     Chessie
P.S I was texting Dan earlier:
Me: I can't wait until tomorrow! I'm super excited :) xxx
Dan: Haha, you're fantastic :) xxx
Me: I'm not, I just want to see you :) xxx
Dan: Nope, you're fantastic, and I love you. End of discussion xxx
