Dear Kitty,
I wonder if it's because William and I are older now that Mum doesn't seem to mind about relationships so much. Dan's taking me to London for the day next Thursday (he's got an open day at Wimbledon College of the Arts), so I let Mum know - and she said 'oh, how lovely. Invite him over for lunch on Sunday or something'. Either she likes him, or she's just decided to let me do what I want. As soon as she starts teasing Dan, I'll know she likes him.
My smoking seems to have turned into a more regular thing - about one cigarette per day. I think it's only because I have them, though, and I won't smoke if I don't have them in my bag. I just love the feeling I get when I've had one - the light-headedness, and that spreads down to my shoulders and my hands and I feel all floaty and light.
I can't believe he's taking me to London for the day! He's bought my ticket and everything (I told him that that wasn't fair by text, and he said that I've spent so long sorting his birthday present that he wants to treat me and that I can't have all the fun). Oh, and I had a meeting with my academic advisor today. He told me to take the afternoon off, so I did, and went into town instead. The only problem is that I'm not sure what to do with myself now.
Yours,
     Chessie
