Dear Kitty,
my week has been shit. I've made two sales, got home late every night and been teased mercilessly by Lewis and Jake.
Do I care? Not in the slightest. Today more than made up for it. Yeah, ok, so I've had three zeros this week, but it's still been really fun and I've only properly lost my attitude once. I spoke French to someone today, and I've met some awesome people during the week. I've been happy and bubbly with everyone I've pitched to - so much so that I haven't even had one hard 'no'. But why was today so good?
Well, firstly, I was in a car ride with Debs and Dan, and we played 'Categories' all the way there (I won) - oh, and we had the office quiz, and it was really easy today, and we had a Pitch-Off, which was hilarious. It turned out that Dan and I were working near each other, so we got a bit lost, and then met up again an hour and a half later for lunch, at half three. First we couldn't be bothered to move, and then finally went somewhere and bought a six pack of Diet Coke and an energy drink between us, and I bought sugarsnap peas and some raspberries. We sat under a tree in the Thetford meadows for our lunch, and then didn't move again until ten past five. We're only meant to have half an hour off for lunch, but we'd both had terrible weeks and very nearly decided not to bother with this afternoon, and just stay under the tree instead (we didn't, but we may as well have done). I rolled down a hill at half six to cheer myself up and get my attitude back, and did a cartwheel (ouch), and then we finished at ten past eight. Dan and I were finished at the office at half nine, and then he invited me out for a drink. We went to a cafe called 'Frank's' - they were playing Belle And Sebastian when we walked in, and they have board games you can borrow - and he bought me a cider. And then we stayed there until my taxi arrived. It's my turn to buy him a drink next - and I'm really hoping we can meet up again soon. It's nice having someone - someone you don't have to travel miles to see, or can't see most of the time. He's really fun, clever, and funny - he did Music at UEA. We've got lots in common - it's just really pleasant.
Nick's coming over tomorrow. I'm excited!
Yours,
      Chessie
P.S We were flirting on the train back yesterday (the other two weren't with us) and I made him watch Victor Borge. We walked back to the office with one headphone each and it was really funny, having to walk around things without pulling them out or falling off the pavement.
