Dear Kitty,
goodness, I've hardly had any time to write recently. I've been so busy with work that I almost don't have time for anything else, save sleeping and writing on the bus.
Work is amazing. I'm solo, and last week wasn't so good after I had two zeros in a row, but it picked up towards the end, and today was surprisingly fun. It's all about perspective in this job - not so much 'oh God, it's six and nothing's happened, and I have to make a sale today' as 'today's going well, this is my third lap, so everything'll pick up from here and I've met loads of interesting people'. It took me a while to realise that, and I was very cross last week because I couldn't make it work. Now all I need is practice. The office is amazing as it was - Debs is great, and Geoff and I have lots of fun together, as well as Dan and Mo. There's a new girl who arrived today, called Remy, and we have heaps in common. We were in the same car ride today, and I think that she, Debs and I annoyed everyone on the train on the way back because we were laughing so much.
Mo and I were out together on Saturday, and it chucked it down all day long. Luckily, we were offered a lift on the way back - this job restores my faith in humanity, because you really do meet the most amazingly wonderful, kind people while you do it.
Hector came to stay last weekend, and it was good to see him again. Unfortunately I am now exhausted because we stayed up for hours talking, so I ought to go to bed soon. Mum and Dad are in France, so I'm having to get a taxi back home every night, but it's alright. The rest of the week should be good, I hope.
I had a bit of a hiccup last week, and I haven't quite got over it yet.   I'm alright, though. I can't quite work myself out. I almost bought a packet of cigarettes last week, just for the hell of it (also because everyone in the office smokes and I really want one), but I decided against it and had gum instead. My body's driving me nuts, and, to be honest, I'm just angry with myself all the time. It's like there are three parts to me, and two of them get on - but they absolutely loathe the other part. It's a horrid feeling, and I'm hoping it'll go away soon.
Katie's in Edinburgh, with her show 'Dirty Pretty Money', and I think it's going to go really well for her. Tom's still in America, and I hope he's ok. Freya's on holiday, and Charlotte is working. We're all so far apart - and everyone's growing up. It scares me, Kitty, to think about how much we've changed.
But change happens for a reason. I'll just have to bear that in mind.
Yours,
      Chessie
