Dear Kitty,
so I Velibed all the way up to Chatelet. It's a lot further than I expected it to be - about 7.5km! It was so much fun that I didn't mind, though, and much nicer than going by metro. Cycling over the river is the nicest - you can see everything, from the Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame, if you look closely. I bought my scales (they're really pretty - black, with a white pattern) and they're all hi-tech. You can change the units, they tell you the temperature and you can even have goal weights stored on them, so they'll tell you how far off you are. They were only twenty euros, as well, which is quite good for a decent digital scale. I also went to H and M - because it's nice and they have so super-cute stuff in right now (also because I needed some sandals for Corsica) - and came out with a pair of duck-egg blue trousers, some blue shorts and a pair of brown sandals. I can now officially say:
I AM A SIZE SIX
because the size eights are just too big. I feel v proud right now.
Also I'm not weighing myself until tomorrow morning - I want an accurate weight to start with, and then we'll go from there.
Yours,
Chessie
P.S I have just a month left in Paris, and I've decided where to go afterwards: Duesseldorf, and Amsterdam. I'm so excited!!
