Dear Kitty,
I've actually had quite a good weekend. Yesterday was my free day, so I woke up at one and went ice skating at three. There was such a long queue that I only actually got onto the ice at half past, but it was good to be back out there again! Also I walked past the skate shop on the way and I am so very tempted to buy my own skates...
At half four, I left the rink and went off to the Champs to see 'The Artist' - an amazing film! I was expecting it to be better, actually, after all the hype, but it really is very good and very cleverly done. I spent most of the evening on Skype to Mum and Dad, and it was good to talk to them properly - oh, and I had to correct William's German for him. That would've been better if I'd actually had the chance to speak German properly in the last six months.
I did a service this morning, and then I had to work all afternoon. I was only supposed to be working from one til five - but Marie-Pascale and Laurent decided that they were going to stay out until eight and not bother to tell me, which was really annoying. I don't think I'd have minded working seven hours if they'd actually let me know. Still, Guillaume was around, as was Regis, so they came downstairs and drank tea with me every time they had a study break.
It all went a bit wrong after I got off work. I came downstairs to mine and weighed myself.
56.6 kg.
I was very angry. It was understandable, after the amount of water I'd just drunk, and the tea and coffee I'd been having all afternoon, but I was furious with myself and couldn't think straight. And then I binged on fruit and cereal. I weighed myself again about five minutes ago, though, and I'm back down to 55.3 kg. Hopefully I'll be back to normal in the morning.
Oh, and I saw a mouse yesterday. It was in the Monoprix on the Champs. There was another one in the metro station this morning too.
Yours,
      Chessie
P.S I had a really scary dream the day before yesterday. I wouldn't mind so, but I keep having it. Basically, I'm being rushed into marrying someone I don't want to marry, and it really scares me every time, and I wake up with this horrible squelchy feeling in my middle. It's really shaken me up, and I can't say I'm much enjoying it. Still, heigh ho.
