Dear Kitty,
so, after two weeks of the Alps, we got back at half two in the morning on Saturday. No rest for the wicked, though - I woke up at ten thirty to a note being pushed under my door that said 'can you be upstairs at two?' I don't think I'd have minded so much if Laurent hadn't said that I wouldn't be needed that day. I worked five hours, and I was exhausted by the end, so I got an early night and did my service on Sunday morning. I'd been told that I really wouldn't be needed on Sunday - so imagine my surprise when Marie-Pascale came and knocked on my door at half three and asked if I could take Etienne to the park. This was my first day off in three weeks - so I told her I was doing my Student Finance (not a lie). She smiled and said 'ok, I'll come back in an hour'. And then she didn't come back, so I basically wasted my afternoon waiting for her. Etienne himself knocked on my door just as Mum and Dad rang and asked if I wanted to play rugby - oh, it got harder and harder to keep my temper. The day was immensely improved that night - Freya skyped me for two hours, and Hector skyped me for three. I went to bed at four, but they were such lovely conversations that I don't care.
I was terrified about coming back and weighing myself. I'd been 54.9kg on the day we left and I was so so sure that I'd gained so much weight and was at least 57kg.
             55.1kg.
I've no idea how that happened, but it was AMAZING. I had a fruit weekend and now I'm back down to 54.9 - hurrah!
I'm feeling quite pleased with how I look right now, actually.
Yours,
     Chessie
