Dear Kitty,
I love weekends. I didn't have them for seven years and, now that I've rediscovered them, I've no idea how I used to manage on so little sleep. I'm tired all the time these days - Lord knows how I used to manage at school! Mum and Dad are coming to visit next weekend - and they're coming to church as well to see the choir, so I'm looking forward to that.
Guillaume won't stop tickling me. I was working tonight - oh, so easy! All I had to do was watch half of 'The Borrowers' and then put a very well-behaved Etienne to bed - and when I'd got Etienne upstairs and was tidying the bathroom, he came in chased me into the pitch-black playroom, said 'ha! Now I can do you with nobody seeing!' and then tickled me until I fell off the sofa. Then, just as I went into Etienne's room to read him a story, Guillaume came up behind me and quickly fireman-lifted me over his shoulder. This would've been fine if my skirt hadn't gone over my head. He then carried me into his room (sans light), put me on his bed and tickled me again. I tried to escape, but, because he's colour-blind, he has really good night vision and saw me. Afterwards, I poked him and said 'you're a horrible, horrible person'. He grinned and said 'oh, you want it really'. It's a shame he's my employer's son - because he's really hot and totally cute. Still, I'm not looking for a relationship here in Paris - I'm fine with the odd date or two, but let's be honest - nothing long-term would work if we were in two different countries.
A service tomorrow, and then I'm going skating at Hotel de Ville. Choir is wonderful, and I love them all. Also there's an Open House reunion weekend in June, and I plan to be there - I'll take Friday off, if need be (which I think it might).
Yours,
Chessie (can't be bothered to think of a new name)
