Dear Kitty,
well, so much for not having seen a lot of Paris.
Just after I wrote last night, Julia came into my room, and we had a cup of coffee. She asked me what time it was, looked a bit thoughtful, and then said 'Champs Elysees?' So we went to the Champs Elysees. At half past ten at night.
We got back at two, having missed the last metro and been shouted at by a random guy on the night bus for speaking English. But, oh, it was so fun! We got the giggles really badly at about eleven, and then they just wouldn't go away, so everything was hilarious. We walked all the way from the Arc de Triomphe to Notre Dame - and I was a bit disappointed, because the Eiffel Tower looked so cool - until the switched it off at one! I still get so excited when I see it, though. I got a really weird look from one guy after shouting 'Oh my God! It's the Eiffel Tower!'
Also we got chatted up by a guy on a bike and pretended not to speak English or French.
Yours,
Francesca
