Dear Kitty,
today is, to coin a phrase, the first day of the rest of my life; I've officially finished school, because we all got our A Level results.
              French: A
Music: B (how?! how?! damn you, Arkell - never again will I listen if you tell me that I've got full marks in three of my modules)
              German: D3 (pleasant surprise)
Yes, I got the same results as my sister did. And the same GCSEs. And the same Grade 5 theory result. And the same Grade 8.
So, while everyone else my age is going out to the pub with their friends and celebrating/drowning sorrows, I have been to the Chinese restaurant with Mum and William, and am now sitting in a corner of my room, feeling fat, wearing a big jumper, listening to 'Ted Leo and the Pharmacists' and drinking strong G&Ts. I don't mind this, as long as neither William nor Mum come in.
I've been feeling a bit needy and lonely this past week - and for the rest of the time that I've been at home with only Mum and William. I don't seem to exist to Mum right now, and William knows how much he's annoying me - so he's doing it more. Sod 'being nice'; he's fine. And a bit of a twat, sometimes. I love him, but that doesn't mean I have to like him.
I'm going to get very drunk tonight. I am in a bad mood, and I quite like drinking alone.
Yours,
          Francesca
P.S I have semi-short hair, but I'm getting it cut again because it's not short enough yet. I want to look 'edgy'. Hurrah, I can throw off all social constraints from Oundle and do what I like! Oh, there's going to be a massive friend cull on Facebook in the next hour. I'll let you know how many/few friends I have at the end of it.
