Dear Kitty,
I'm still reeling from Saturday night. I haven't got dressed today - let's call it 'recuperation'.
Well, I got my hair done at 2:30 on Saturday, and then Freya did my make-up and reminisced about all the old times. And then I got dressed, and we had drinks in the garden - then drinks in Sidney, then drinks on the Two Acre (there was a lot of drinking), and then we all had dinner. There was a jazz band!!! It was amazing - sadly I didn't dance with Alex, but I did dance twice with Sam and once with Joe. The fireworks went off later, and then I did get to dance with Alex when all the popular music started; he knows he can't dance, so he deliberately dances as stupidly as possible - it's adorable. This all finished at one, so I got changed and we went to the Talbot - nobody's ever bought me a drink in a bar before (well, that I'm not related to). We stayed in the Talbot until three, then went and sat on Chapel Lawns for an hour. After that, we went back to the Talbot (where he bought me a drink and I promptly fell asleep on him), and then for another walk at five. The photo was at half six, and it was very very cold.
I'm sad to have left, really, but it still hasn't entirely hit - or maybe it has, I'm just not that upset. I think I am upset thought - I've left practically everyone I know behind. But I haven't left them - or at least I hope I haven't - because I can't bear the thought of never seeing some of them again.
Oh, Alex is going on a gap year too, and is spending part of it in Florence, so we're going to visit each other; I've never been to Paris, and he wants to go back, and he's never been to Florence, and I'd love to see it again. He's such a dear - I can't wait to see him again in three weeks!
Yours,
Francesca (OO)
