Dear Kitty,
an update about nothing in particular - but why divert from the norm?
Well, I found out yesterday that I'd won a prize at Speech Day! It's the 'Cole Chapel Music' prize - I had no idea that it existed, but I'm very pleased all the same. I think Mr Eadon chose me because I'm the only enthusiastic person there, but it was very kind of him. I've also found out that I'm in the final of the Music Theatre singing, which is also terribly exciting because we get COSTUMES! I love singing on stage, so I'm really looking forward to it. How ironic that my last week at Oundle will be the week when I get to do everything; lead the orchestra, sing a solo with Schola, perform on stage, win a prize - and, of course, go to my first ball.
I also found out that we've sold the house. This is good and bad; good, because none of us like where we live, but bad because it means that we've got to uproot again. Not only that - we'll be living in two places. Mum and Dad are moving to France, but we'll be renting in Norwich because of Mum's job. I think I'm looking forward to it - but that might only be because Norwich has an ice rink.
I myself have been looking up houses online - Katie thinks it's a bad thing. I'm just looking for a nice studio flat somewhere - probably in a different country - but I'm planning for after uni. Planning is fun - it's the actual event that is less so.
Anyway, it's break so I'm going for a run. I'm doing the Special K diet from now until the ball - and I quite like the prospect of having the freedom to eat cereal when it's not breakfast. It's a whole new experience.
Yours,
      Francesca
