Dear Kitty,
the song 'In My Place', by Coldplay, is one of those songs that really should make people depressed. For me, it doesn't - because I associate it with the Berrystead. Ok, I hated the Berrystead, but I associate it with all those happy feelings of - just general carelessness, I suppose. It makes me happy.
So yesterday the girls and I all got together and went to Beans. Which was fine - everyone bought a different milkshake, but nobody got vanilla so we all chipped in and bought one of those to share - and really rather stupid. Insanity, my old friend! Overall, a very good day, methinks.
Well, last night was my seventh and final House Shout. Which was, I must say, a total triumph! Awesome song, awesome adjudicators...and I embarrassed myself in front of the whole school. Basically, we were doing 'Never Forget' by Take That, and everytime we sang 'NEEEEEE-VER' we had to put our hands up. I got too into it and carried on. Whoops. Still, some people think I made the night, and other people think it was deliberate - I don't really care, if I'm honest.
I've actually reached that stage of thinking 'oh, this is my last ever -- at Oundle' and then feeling a bit sad. I've got (not counting hols) another seven weeks or so here, and I'm going to miss everyon an awful lot. I'm also going to be scared witless. Ah, future - what bringeth thou mit?
Yours,
Francesca
