Dear Kitty,
I've been given a job! A real job!
It's for the British School of Beijing - for a whole year of teaching! I'm SO excited about it!
But the more I think about it, the more nervous I get. It's a new country, a new language, a new culture - and responsability. The responsibility of looking after myself; the responsibility of having a job; the responsibility of managing. I'm pretending to not be scared, of course - but in reality, I'm terrified. I have no idea at all how to look after myself; sure, I can cook, but washing machines confuse me and I keep putting them on the wrong settings. Luckily I'll be living with someone else.
The first thing I'm going to do is buy a bicycle.
Off to bed.
Yours,
Frances a
