Dear Kitty,
I never thought university stuff would be this stressful. I have until Saturday to decide if I want to go to uni this year or next year.
But I don't want to go to the places I've applied to. I've set myself up for Cambridge since I was about eleven, and it's the only place I want to go to. And, of course, I'm not applying there this year - because I was told not to by a lot of people. I was planning on applying next year, but with the student fees rise, then it makes a lot more sense (in the long run) to go this year. But I don't want to choose the sensible option, Kitty. And I'm worried about the people I'll meet. I don't know who'll be there too, what they'll be like, or whether I'll get on with them. What if it all ends up like Oundle again?
Most of all, I don't want to go because I'm scared. I'm not ready for this yet.
Yours,
       Francesca
