Dear Kitty,
End of the second whole day of half-term, and I'm still tired. I have to get up in seven hours - I'm going to Manchester - but I don't really want to go to bed. There's far too much to do; pack, write, write, write, write...I'm full of ideas and pictures and sentences but I can't seem to organise them or even write them down. I'm going to do a big storm on the train tomorrow, though, and just write and write. I have two new notebooks specially for this purpose, so it'll be good, I think.
I'm worried about Katie. I want her to look after herself and try to stay happy. And I hope it's all getting better for her.
Yours,
Francesca
