Dear Kitty,
I'm getting up in just over six and a half hours, and I've just finished my first essay. The next shouldn't take too long, which is why I'm getting up so early - and then, tomorrow at 1210, the holidays will begin! I'm very excited - not least so I can sleep. I'm also going to see Christopher at some point, and I haven't seen him for a very long time.
Tonight was the Oktoberfest, for many of those studying Mod. Langs. and it was very fun. I sat with Garrood for much of the evening and, being as obsessed with German as we are, translated as many songs as we could think of into German and sang them very loudly. There was quite a lot of alcohol available, but I think I managed to stay fairly sober, so I'm quite happy. Our latest favourite song is 'wir allen wohnen in einem gelben Unterseeboot' - or 'Halten Sie mich nicht'. It's all been terribly fun.
So, dear Kitty, next time I write to you, it shall be from home. And I will, hopefully, be much, much less tired.
Bis dann,
          Francesca
P.S. I forgot to mention that I was hypnotised. It was, in retrospect, very funny. Especially the part where I forgot my name.
