Dear Kitty,
I haven't written in a rather long time. Much has happened.
The most important point is my play. Mr Boag has read it and is very enthusiastic about me putting it on next year - he said it was 'phenomenal' and that he even got a little emotional while reading it! Katie and I have decided to take it to the Fringe in 2011, so it's all terribly exciting. In the meantime, I need to go through it, re-draft, add bits in, take bits out and finish the pilot episode for a competition I'm entering in which you have to write a sitcom. The working title is 'Something Old, Something New', which I'm not sure about.
I've found a great new band recently, called 'Scary Kids Scaring Kids'. It's a little hard, but it's really good to listen to. That and 'Yuzu' make for a very strange playlist, especially as the 'Sooty' theme keeps coming up on shuffle.
Internal L6 exams start tomorrow, and it's Psychology at 8:30 for me. I am ever so slightly dead - I have to learn 10 case studies by then. And the only one I know is Milgram because I already knew about that one. Still, I should probably go soon to revise hard for 40 minutes.
I've been feeling more mature recently. I may not be behaving like I am more mature, but I've realised just how much I've changed since last year. I'm not quite sure what it is, but I feel calmer and generally more cheerful, and just - older. I think it's the realisation that, in September, I will be beginning my last ever year of school and starting on university applications and gap year plans. I'm looking forward to it - a chance to start afresh and be able to look after myself for a while. I think I'm ready for it now.
I hope I am, anyway.
Yours,
Francesca
