A crap kinda day. Sat by the phone waiting to hear from the mechanic. Finally had to call him of course. Car dies on me when I turn corners or slow down to stop. Engine light is on. I thought it needed a tuneup since its at 98,000 miles.
He said no. Automatically said its the gas cause he gets 3 or 4 like that a week. When I told him where I get gas he said they ted to have bad gas. Problem is I mostly buy my gas at the same place and have for years, so why is it causing a problem now
When I called he again said it was the gas but the diagnostics also showed something else-the thermostat. My understanding is that the thermostat had nothing to do with the car dying, but is the reason the light is on. Cost of thermostat is about $246 which my brother says is a bit high.
Then in the mail, I get a letter from the bankruptcy trustee saying "we" are 2 months behind on our payments. EX is supposed to be making those payments and not so long ago the bankruptcy was kicked out and had to be reinstated because he was messing things up. My understanding was that if he messed up again it would NOT be reinstated. So, texted him. he says he paid it Monday. This letter was mailed Monday, so...I believe him. I think he said he was short $50 in May and that plus June was what he paid. Odd, I didnt think he and #4 were having any money problems. Then again, his pay goes down in the summer.
Speaking of #4. It doesnt matter but for some reason I kept thinking of what my friend said about #4 not being friendly. It just didnt sound right to me for some reason. Then I realized. She's probably not unfriendly. She's probably shy/quiet/reserved around people she doesn t know. I'm that way myself. He seldom changes type.
