Sleeping issues continue to plague me ,,, I dunno ,, maybe it is an age related thing ,, seems that a lot of older folks have a sleeping disorder problem,,, it doesn't help that my sleep schedule has been shot all to hell,,  and hard to get myself re-adjusted ,, I know this may take a concerted effort on my part ,,, it is now about 5:30/a  ..
There are several other issues floating to the top,,,, I feel that I want to get back into the workplace,,, BUT,,, I don't want to accept all the bullshit that I had to deal with when I was working and now it is more intense than ever from what I understand ,, the jobs that I am finding will throw me well over my limit for SS retirement,, which means as I understand it ,, for every 2 dollars I make over $14k  per year I have to forfeit 1 dollar back to Social Security,, I don't know if that is a gross amount of net amount ,,, which is pretty funny as I have yet to land ANY job after 2 years of being dormant and out of work,,, Ideally a part time position is what I am looking for ,,, but they do not exist unless you want to work for McDonalds ,, Seems that I have to sort some employment issues out in my head and get some idea of what I am going to have to deal with,,, The bottom line here is for me to get into something I enjoy and I am pretty good at which is in the Social Services arena,,, so it is a challenge,,, I have a BA but not a Masters which is another challenge,,
Socially my life sucks but that is alright as I have learned to live with it pretty well,, Occasionally it becomes an issue,, but has far less weight then it has had in the past.. I am still a funny guy with a strange but comical sense of myself and  that is always a good thing,,

I\'m glad I\'m not the only one suffering with sleep issues of late... I know what a struggle that can be! I know that my big problem is I can\'t shut my mine off. Part of me wonders if that\'s because I\'m afraid if I give in to sleep I will never wake up. I do not know why this is because that thought doesn\'t really bother me. I know heat is often an issue but I think it\'s something else. If you find a good solution, share!

Hopefully you can find a part time job that is something you WANT to do. That\'s a hard thing these days. I just saw the unemployment rates for my county and they are UP 1 percent this month. We\'re at almost 11% with surrounding counties hovering between 12 and 13%. Yikes! I am lucky that my job is something I enjoy doing and I can do it from home part time and earn enough to cover the bills. Not many people are that fortunate. I often think being out with others would be a good thing and then in the next thought am glad I don\'t have to deal with others outside of my boss.

It\'s hard to be social, I know. Friends are busy with their lives. It\'s even harder when you\'re single. I wish I could offer you some advice but I have none. Just know that you aren\'t the only one out there going through all this. I\'m glad to listen and try to help.

Good luck with the job hunt! AND SLEEPING!

I have no social life since the death of my husband and with illness I am often stuck sick in bed. The only way I have found to make money under these circumstances is by taking my business experience and education and transition that into securities analysis and the stock market. It was so scary at first but with profit comes confidence, not over confidence by any means and plenty of fear remaining to protect myself from any possible losses but I am actually beginning to have fun with all the work involved as I have always loved corporate management and business activity.

Sleep -- I don\'t much any longer since the death of my husband. Plus I hear from others that our sleep does change as we age and we seem to need less of it.

I don\'t think much any longer about the social life I had back when I was well and able to live a full life. It is a transition most people who are well or have supportive family can\'t even related to and most are so focused on material wealth and with illness most of us coping alone do not have the abundance of wealth that would allow us the freedom to be popular among the \'masses\'. I\'m glad any longer that I have been forced to see and begin to understand our greed values. Collectively we are sad bunch indeed with very shallow values in many ways.

I have learned acceptance and have comfort with life these days -- or it may be just the numbness of severe PTSD from too much trauma of coping with crisis and I have only acclimated to it all over time.

Just go with the flow and over time you will find adjustments and life will improve.

((hugs))

I\'m a guy but I love you Mycroft.

Your comments on the Fed are spot on and we\'ll see if those rumors of QE being tapered off are going to come to pass.
